Cusco/Sacred Valley
Andes, History & Culture
This trip is the perfect way to take in the Sacred Valley of the Incas in just 1 day.
As the name suggests, this valley close to Cusco was considered sacred by the Incas as they believed that the Vilcanota River that runs through it was connected to the Milky Way. On this trip you'll follow this very river, visiting some of the most impressive Inca ruins to be found anywhere in their empire: the breathtaking sweeping terraces of Pisaq set high in the mountains, and the imposing fortress of Ollantaytambo, as well as the picturesque Chinchero, an ancient Inca town converted to a Spanish town by the Conquistadores. You'll also visit the markets of the charming towns of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo. The whole way you'll be accompanied by an expert guide who'll share with you the history behind everything you encounter.
The Sacred Valley is steeped in the history and tradition that gives Peru its unique mystique, come and experience it with True Peru.
