Humantay Lagoon is a spectacular turquoise lake that mirrors the surrounding snow-capped mountains, and is one of the best destinations for a trek in the Cusco area. This trek begins at 3,950 metres above sea level in Soraypampa, from where you'll hike for around 3 hours through the beautiful green valley of the Apurimac River until you reach Humantay Lagoon high in the Andes at 4,200 metres above sea level. After some time here to rest, soak in the incredible natural surroundings and take photos, you'll hike back to Soraypampa where a delicious lunch will be waiting from you.
