1-day humantay lagoon trek

Humantay Lagoon is a spectacular turquoise lake that mirrors the surrounding snow-capped mountains, and is one of the best destinations for a trek in the Cusco area.

This trek begins at 3,950 metres above sea level in Soraypampa, from where you'll hike for around 3 hours through the beautiful green valley of the Apurimac River until you reach Humantay Lagoon high in the Andes at 4,200 metres above sea level. After some time here to rest, soak in the incredible natural surroundings and take photos, you'll hike back to Soraypampa where a delicious lunch will be waiting from you. After another rest, we'll take you back to Cusco.

5am pick-up in Cusco

8am arrival in Mollepata for breakfast (included)

3 hour trek to Humantay Lagoon

3 hour return trek to Soraypampa

Transport to Cusco

6.30pm arrival in Cusco

Please note that this hike is a challenging one, it takes place at high altitude and takes a full day to complete, it is a good idea to take a day or 2 to acclimatise prior to the hike.
