1-day south valley experience
This trip will take you to the most important sites of the picturesque and historical Southern Valley.
Just south of Cusco, this valley is home to some extraordinary Inca and pre-Inca ruins. You'll visit the beautifully serene Tipón where, surrounded by sweeping Andean mountains, water still flows through the temple's grassy terraces many centuries after their consruction. Next, you'll get to wander through the streets and avenues of the ancient city of Pikillaqta, which was constructed by the Wari people who populated this region of Peru long before the Inca Empire came into existence. As well as this, you'll also visit the colonial village of Andahuaylillas and its 16th century Jesuit church, and the town of Huaro, once home to the Incas' shamans. The whole way you'll be accompanied by an expert guide who'll share with you the history behind everything you encounter.
The Southern Valley is part of what gives Peru's its incredible mystique, come and experience it with True Peru Travel.
