This trip is the perfect way to take in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu is just 2 days.

After beginning in Cusco, you'll spend a day taking in the beauty and history of the nearby Sacred Valley. You'll visit the beautiful and historical Inca town of Chinchero which was converted to a Spanish settlement by the Conquistadores. Travelling onwards, you'll then visit the concentric terraces of Moray, an Inca an amazing Inca agricultural laboratory set deep the the Andean mountains. Next, you'll travel to the ancient salt mines of Moras. Along the way you'll also pass through stunning landscapes and typical Andean villages where the local people still wear traditional clothing and live by ancient customs. After a train journey through sub-tropical mountains from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, your trip will climax with a day exploring the stunning world wonder of Machu Picchu before finishing back in Cusco. All along the way you'll be accompanied by an expert guide who'll share the history of everything you visit on your journey.

8.30am pick-up

4.30pm train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes

7.30pm arrival in Aguas Calientes

Dinner and sleep in Hatun Inti Classic Hotel

Day 2

4am breakfast

5.30am bus to Machu Picchu (you can hike this if you prefer!)

2.5 hour tour of Machu Picchu

Optional hike up Huayna Picchu (not included in price)

Bus (or hike) back to Aguas Calientes

Lunch in Aguas Calientes

2.30pm train to Ollantaytambo

Onward transport to Cusco
