3-day colca canyon trek
Take time to savour the breathtaking beauty of the Andes on this is an easy level hike.
As the second biggest canyon in the world, twice as deep as the Grand Canyon, this is an unmissable destination while travelling in south Peru. It's filled with varied landscapes, colonial villages, stepped terraces, ancient civilisations, and is one of the best places to see the emblematic condor.
From Arequipa, you'll travel to the traditional town of Chivay, stopping off at a few beauty spots along the way. After a relaxing first day and a night's hotel sleep, your trek will begin on day 2 when you spend the day hiking through the canyon from Cabanaconde to beautiful Oasis in Sangalle. After an evening relaxing in a Canyon lodge's swimming pool and a night's sleep, you'll continue with an early morning trek to Cabanaconde, it should be noted that this trek is more challenging than the previous day's. As this is an early morning trek, there's a chance of seeing condors soaring overhead as you go. From Cabanaconde you'll begin the trip back to Arequipa, stopping off at more beauty spots along the way.
With True Peru Travel, you'll immerse yourself in stunning Andean landscapes and create memories to last a lifetime.

A Level 1 hike is a low-risk hike on a well-marked trail. A Class 1 rating doesn't mean you won't gain elevation or be blown away by the views, it simply means you won't need any technical gear beyond your hiking shoes, hiking poles, and a day pack to enjoy the hike.
