This trip is the perfect way to take in Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu is just 4 days.
Your experience begins in Cusco, where you'll tour the main sites of this ancient Inca capital, before exploring the most important Inca ruins in the surrounding area, Saqsaywoman, Quenqo, Puka Pucara, and Tambomachay.
The next day, you'll travel beyond the Cusco area to take in the beauty and history of the nearby Sacred Valley. Following the Urutamba River, you'll visit the Inca ruins of Pisac set high in spectacular terraced Andean mountainsides, as well as the Inca town of Ollantaytambo and its awe-inspiring Inca fortress. Along the way you'll also pass through stunning landscapes and typical Andean villages where the local people still wear traditional clothing and live by ancient customs. After a train journey through sub-tropical mountains to Aguas Calientes, your trip will climax the following day with a day exploring the stunning world wonder of Machu Picchu, before returning to Cusco.
The trip finishes on the fourth day with a relaxed walking tour through Cusco. All along the way you'll be accompanied by an expert guide who'll share the history of everything you visit on your 4-day journey.
