7-day lares valley trek to machu picchu
This trip is the perfect way to take in Cusco, the Sacred Valley, the Lares Valley and Machu Picchu is just 7 days.
You'll begin in Cusco, where you'll tour the main sites of this ancient Inca capital before exploring the most important Inca ruins in the surrounding area, Saqsaywoman, Quenqo, Puka Pucara, and Tambomachay.
The next day, you'll beauty and history of the nearby Sacred Valley. Following the Urutamba River, you'll visit the Inca ruins of Pisac set high in Andean mountainsides, the Inca town of Ollantaytambo and its awe-inspiring Inca fortress, as well as the Inca town of Chinchero.
Next, you'll begin 3 days of trekking through the Lares Valley, taking in the incredible Andean scenery and meeting with traditional local communities. Your trip will climax with a day exploring the stunning world wonder of Machu Picchu, before returning to Cusco.
The trip finishes with a relaxed walking tour through Cusco. All along the way you'll be accompanied by an expert guide who'll share the history of everything you visit.
