1-day cusco archaeological experience
This trip takes you on a tour of Cusco and the ancient Inca ruins found in the surrounding mountains.
Our expert guide will take you through the incredible story of this region's history, from the height of the Inca Empire through to the Spanish Conquest. Starting in Cusco, you'll visit the main Spanish cathedral in the Plaza de Armas, as well as Qoricancha, converted into a Spanish church after being the most sacred temple in the Inca Empire. Moving from the city into the surrounding foothills, you'll then visit the area's most important Inca sites: the immense Inca fortress of Saqsayhuaman with its 100 ton stones, the labyrinthine temple of Qenqo, the ancient military control gate of Puka Pukara, and the water temple of Tambomachay with its serene water features still functioning after many centuries.
